Kenya – Sample Itinerary
Fourteen days in Kenya, the melting pot of East Africa
Arrive at Nairobi International Airport
DAY 1-3 ……………………………….
Landing in Nairobi, Kenya’s vibrant capital, is like stepping into a dynamic blend of culture, history, and modern energy. The city pulses with life. Busy streets and markets, cafés, and bustling neighbourhoods and just beyond the urban rhythm is Nairobi National Park, the only safari-in-a-city experience in the world. Nairobi is a perfect introduction to East Africa, where you can explore David Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage, visit the Giraffe Centre for an up-close encounter with these gentle giants, It’s a chance to rest, acclimate, and soak in the city’s unique charm before heading out to the sweeping landscapes and wildlife adventures that await on your safari.
Bush Plane to Laikipia
DAY 3-6 ……………………………….
Leaving Nairobi aboard a small aircraft, the cityscape quickly gives way to rolling hills, patchwork farms, and the expansive wilderness of central Kenya. From above, the Rift Valley unfolds in all its grandeur — mountains, forests, and rivers creating a vivid tapestry below. The flight is short but exhilarating, a preview of the adventure ahead, as you approach Laikipia Conservancy, a haven of wildlife and open savannah. Touching down, the hum of the plane is replaced by the sounds of the wild, and the sense of anticipation is tangible: this is where your safari truly begins, with pristine landscapes, rare wildlife encounters including all the Big 5, and the freedom of Africa’s untamed beauty awaiting at every turn.

DAY 6-10 ……………………………….
Masai Mara
Leaving the tranquil expanses of Laikipia behind, the journey to the iconic Masai Mara unfolds as a transition from hidden wilderness to Africa’s quintessential safari landscape. Rolling hills and acacia-dotted plains stretch beneath you, while herds of wildlife occasionally appear along the way, hinting at the adventure to come. As the Mara’s vast savannahs emerge on the horizon, the excitement builds — this is where dramatic predator-prey encounters, golden sunsets, and endless wildlife spectacles define every day. Arriving for a four-night safari, you step into a rhythm of morning game drives, leisurely afternoons, and nights under star-filled skies, fully immersed in the untamed beauty that makes the Masai Mara one of the world’s most celebrated safari destinations.
DAY 10-14 ……………………………….
Lamu – Kenya’s Coast
After the thrill of the safari, Lamu offers a serene and enchanting contrast — a three-night escape into the timeless charm of Kenya’s coast. The island’s winding streets, historic Swahili architecture, and vibrant markets invite leisurely exploration, while the pace of life moves to the rhythm of the tides and the call of the dhow sails on the horizon. Days can be spent strolling along quiet beaches, swimming in turquoise waters, or taking a traditional dhow cruise at sunset. Cultural experiences abound: visit ancient mosques, wander the narrow alleys of Lamu Town, and immerse yourself in local crafts, cuisine, and music. With no cars, only donkeys and bicycles navigating its streets, Lamu is a peaceful retreat — perfect for unwinding, reflecting on safari memories, and soaking in the magic of coastal Kenya before the journey continues.
